PLEASE READ INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY - ESPECIALLY REGARDING CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms such as a fever and cough please call to reschedule or cancel your trip. If your cancellations are due to other reasons, please be respectful in giving us as much notice as possible to reschedule/cancel your trip. Final payments will be charged the day before your trip if not already paid ahead of time. Deposits are non-refundable, but we are happy to help you reschedule. Advance reservations and deposits are required for all float trips to ensure availability. A limited number of vessels will be permitted to launch at Cornell Bridge (on Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge) on summer weekends. Walk-ins are welcome if equipment and campsites are available. Walk-ins will be launched according to trip length and open time slots available. LAUNCH TIMES vary depending on groups. Groups must check in at our office in Valentine one-half hour prior to launch time. We offer a 7 minute safety video on canoeing & kayaking. We also review a detailed river map for your float trip so you know where to stop at the end of your trip and all the fun sights to see along the way. Launch times are every half-hour from 8 am-11 am. You will be on the water floating approximately an hour after you arrive at our office. For example, if you arrive at our office at 8:00, we take care of payment, go over the map and safety orientation and then head out to the river about 8:30. Then we unload all the equipment and you will be floating by 9:00. If you do not start at Cornell Launch Site, add ½ hour on to your launch time to allow for drive time to starting point. Please call to check on available start times! Deposit Requirements: Deposits are required to confirm your reservation. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. We recommend that you collect the deposit from each member in your group. If they cancel, they will lose their money not you. If you need to cancel reservations please do so as soon as possible! CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES MADE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR TRIP WILL BE CHARGED FULL PRICE. In case of inclimate weather tubers may take canoes or kayaks. Other options for bad weather include starting at a later time or we can issue a rain check to be used later in the season. Deposit on daily rentals is $20 per person per day. Private car shuttle deposit - $40 per vehicle. Making Reservations: To make reservations call (402)-376-3708. The initial reservations will be made over the phone and will be confirmed once the deposit is received. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE and must be received within one week from the time reservations are made unless other arrangements are made. Deposits may be paid by sending a personal check (Nebraska residents only) or by VISA or MASTERCARD over the telephone. You will have 24 hours to make changes to your reservation before the credit card deposit is run. If your trip is scheduled within 24 hours of your launch time a full payment will be required to make your reservation. Please note: If your party is made up of several individuals, the group leader is responsible for making the deposit and final payment. We cannot separate the invoice to accommodate individual payments for each person in the group. The group leader is in charge of communicating how much each person owes and collecting that amount prior to making the final payment. This ensures that the group leader does not lose money if someone in the group cancels. |
