Several campgrounds are located along the Niobrara River. Each campground has advantages depending on what type of campground you are looking for. Smith Falls State Park is located about halfway down the river. Sunny Brook Camp is an alcohol free campground, which is very family friendly. Graham's Camp has moved to Wildcat Camp, which is located just past Sunny Brook Camp. There are several other options for camping in the river valley available as well. The campsites we reserve for our customers at Wildcat Camp are located near the river and have picnic tables, fire rings, and lots of trees. Port-a-potties are available on-site, but there is no running water, showers or concessions. The numbers of spaces are limited so reservations are recommended. When leaving the campsite we ask that you take all trash with you and leave the campsite as though no one had been there. Camping rules: Keep fires small. Abide by fire bans if in place. Never leave fires unattended. Put all fires out with water. Do not move fire rings or picnic tables. Please use the available rest room facilities. Do not cut trees or stumps for firewood or hot dog sticks. What you pack in, please pack out. Leave no trace. Driving Directions: Our campground at Wildcat Camp is located just past Sunny Brook Camp. Take Hwy 12 east of Valentine (or west of Springview) to Sparks, NE. Turn south and go approximately 11 miles on the county road to Wildcat Camp sign. Turn right at the green gate onto the small trail road. Follow the trail down toward the river. Prices: Subject to change without notice.
